Irene holds a Post Graduate Diploma in Public Administration and Management and a Bachelor’s Degree in Arts with Education. Additionally she has Certificates in Monitoring and Evaluation, Child Protection, Statistical Data Analysis, and a Certificate of TOT (Trainer of Trainers) in Adolescent Reproductive Health and E-Based Learning. Irene is a Global Health Corps and a Transformative Journey alumnus. The passion for empowering girls and young women is the biggest motivation for her to work with Somero Uganda. According to Irene: “Girl child education is important because women are now taking on more responsibilities in most spheres of life, so they need support through education empowerment.”
