The LEAD program was designed to empower young people to become team leaders in non-governmental organizations (NGOs) and global development initiatives. Through leadership training, mentorship, and cross-cultural exchange, participants developed the skills needed to drive sustainable change within their communities. The program emphasized global citizenship, encouraging young leaders to think globally while taking local action.
The project was implemented across Germany and nine countries in the Global South, including Uganda, creating an international network of socially responsible youth leaders equipped with strategic planning, advocacy, and leadership skills
